*** UPDATE #1 ***
The first performer announced for "REPEAT OFFENDER 7" is LA-based producer, vocalist and El Super Music Collective member, COZY. Cozy's awesome solo track "Swallow" is the "ROAD KILL Vol. 3" iTunes & Bandcamp-only bonus track. But before that gets here, Cozy is bringing some new solo material with “Ur Sure”. Across the shuffling, Beach Boys-sampling cut, he showcases his killer pipes and sharp songwriting. If the rest of his solo LP "up&up" (forthcoming on HIT+RUN in 2013), sounds anything like this, we’re in for a serious treat.

*** UPDATE #2 ***
The second "REPEAT OFFENDER 7" performer announcement is Oxnard-based producer ESGAR from the SmashTales crew. Esgar is featured on "ROAD KILL Vol. 3" with his future soul wonky dubstep bass track "Starscream", also heard regularly in The Gaslamp Killer's live dj sets.  Look for Esgar's debut 12" EP to be released in late Spring 2013 on Kutmah's new vinyl imprint IZWID.  For more info on Esgar check out his SoundCloud page, or download the latest free SmashTales sampler "Bad Dudes" here.

*** UPDATE #3 ***
The third act confirmed to perform at "REPEAT OFFENDER 7" is GUY BLAKESLEE from The Entrance Band. Originally hailing from Baltimore, Blakeslee (under the moniker Entrance) performed his somber yet psychedelic acoustic songs for years as a solo act until forming The Entrance Band along with bassist Paz Lenchantin & drummer Derek James in 2009.  Since then The Entrance Band have released their self-titled debut full-length album, as well as two blistering EPs, and toured with the likes of Sonic Youth, Cat Power, Devendra Banhart & Yeah Yeah Yeahs.  Their latest EP "Fine Flow" (on Spiritual Pajamas) is a 4-song instrumental journey clocking in at 34-minutes showcasing the well-rehearsed trio in their most diverse form yet.  Check out songs from "Fine Flow" here, and don't miss Guy's solo set packed with layers of guitar that seem to stop time in a steam of pure but subtle heat.

*** UPDATE #4 ***
The fourth performer to be announced for "REPEAT OFFENDER 7" is Brainfeeder recording artist SAMIYAM.  Sam Baker moved to Los Angeles from Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2006, and is best known for his beats filled with snippets of soul, funk, Italian horror flick soundtracks, Nintendo bonus level music and '90s hip-hop. In his short time on the West Coast he has become one of the city's most progressive and recognized producers, a man who has helped spearhead the revival of interest in instrumental hip-hop music. His album "Rap Beats Vol. 1" (originally self-released with custom album covers made with magazine cut-outs and sharpie-drawn doodles) was the first release on the Brainfeeder label. SAMIYAM’s raw hip-hop sound with a psychedelic edge and off-kilter beats could be called quintessential Brainfeeder style. In 2011 his official debut LP "Sam Baker's Album" was also released on Brainfeeder, its 40-minutes of deviant listening pleasure is a series of woozy, off-center hip-hop instrumentals drawing heavily on Sam's love of electronic funk.  Look for new music, production and remixes from Samiyam in 2013, and don't miss his very special midnight set at "Repeat Offender 7"!  LISTEN: http://soundcloud.com/brainfeeder/samiyam-cushion | http://soundcloud.com/brainfeeder/samiyam-where-am-i

*** UPDATE #5 ***
MONO/POLY as the 5th performer added to this year's "REPEAT OFFENDER 7" line-up.  Mono/Poly (born Charles E. Dickerson) hails from Bakersfield, CA and is a multi-genre music producer known for his distinct madness of face-melting bass, paired with his astral soundscapes of glitch-based hip-hop.  His music alias is taken from the 1980s Korg keyboard and symbolizes the artist’s multifaceted audio productions.  In 2009, Mono/Poly released his debut EP "The George Machine" receiving rave reviews and strong support by Busy P, Gaslamp Killer, and Benji B.  In 2010 his first full-length solo album, "Paramatma", an elemental journey mixed of dub-step beats, astral soundscapes, Eastern philosophy, metaphysics & politics was released.  In 2011, Mono/Poly joined the record label Brainfeeder and made a strong debut with his "Manifestations" EP, a release whose many waxy layers are peeled away one at a time to reveal a glowing core of true talent and innovative sound design.  In early 2012 Charles contributed the classic banger 'CREW' to "Hit+Run Presents: ROAD KILL Vol. 1" compilation.  His forthcoming second full-length album "Golden Skies" is set to be released thru Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's label in 2013.  In the meantime keep a close eye on his SoundCloud page for more music, plus make sure to check out Mono/Poly at "Repeat Offender 7" and witness one of the boldest & exciting producers in the game.

*** UPDATE #6 ***
The sixth band announced to perform at "REPEAT OFFENDER 7" is CRIMEKILLZ.  N8 NoFace & Skumbag Tony, the musical entities that make up Crimekillz, started around 2007 while laying low in Tucson, AZ for a couple of years. Tony, who was heavily influenced by punk music, developed an interest in chiptone production, and bought a Nintendo Gameboy to create his signature sound. Vocalist Nate, on the other hand, was considerably influenced by hip-hop with his roots in the underground scene. The two began to record steadily fusing their audio backgrounds and real life experiences. In 2009 Nate's brother, Zackey Force Funk, began to send out their music without their knowledge, and the rest is Crew history.  In 2010 HIT+RUN released their debut album "Kills Kids", holding the record release party (with ZFF and Kutmah) at the world famous SXSW conference in Austin, TX.  From the circulation of those cds throughout their cult-like following while playing numerous shows with much acclaim, they signed with Gonjasufi & Mainframe's A.1.R. label to release their new album "Destroy Stress" in 2013.  For this new project Crimekillz has revisited their roots in minimal wave, but still stick to the same mix of brutal honesty and gutter as before. Check out their website & SoundCloud pages for more info, downloads, and see you in the pit!!!

*** UPDATE #7 ***
The 7th artist to be announced for "REPEAT OFFENDER 7" is our Host for the evening, Los Angeles emcee & producer ZEROH.  You may have heard recent rumblings from the underground, if not, listen closer captain. Emerging from the netherworld of Gardena, this California native has a lyrical rhythm reminiscent of the early 90's Good Life Cafe.  He knows how to use his voice, volume, and tone in conjunction with his content and delivery, a skill that takes some cats years to get down.  This WeDidIt Collective member's most recent collaboration is with Jeremiah Jae under the name HOLY SMOKE. The two offer up a glimpse of their upcoming 2013 EP with the debut track "Trusted Friends" featured on the forthcoming "ROAD KILL Vol. 3" compilation.  Visit Zeroh's SoundCloud page for new recordings, Bandcamp page to download "Tape" (2012), or The Fader's website to cop his "Awfulalterations" 2011 mixtape.  All eyes on this dude!
