After 9 months of fun in Venice, the HIT+RUN Townhouse Gallery is closing its doors. In our little gallery by the beach, we had the privilege to host amazing art exhibitions by MEAR ONE, RESTITUTION PRESS, CRYPTIK, MOCHILLA, AMBUSCH, GARY GARAY, DETHKILLS and MAGO, plus a Poobah Records pop-up shop, group shows by the kids of Hamilton High School, club Bacchanal & the burlesque beauties of Red Light Wednesday. Some of you caught one of the infamous gallery afterparties in the secret basement bar of The Del Monte Speakeasy with performances by THE GASLAMP KILLER, THUNDERCAT, THE ENTRANCE BAND, ZACKEY FORCE FUNK, CRIMEKILLZ, RAS-G, CONTACT FIELD ORCHESTRA, KNXWLEDGE, RUNMAN, SACRED, MATTHEWDAVID, COLEMAN, BEI' RU, BABU, TA'RAACH, ANDREAS RENTERIA, ALLA plus PAY RAY, TOKS, MAGO, VALTRON, SIR MARCUS and EROK of the H+R Soundsystem. The "Poobah: Venice" in-stores were six days of intimate sets by local LA crews FRIENDS OF FRIENDS (Shlohmo, Salva, Groundislava, Anenon, Soda Pop, Lazy Brow), MY HOLLOW DRUM (Co.Fee, Tully, Arti), CLOSED CASKET COLLECTIVE (J-Mart, Elos, Jincallo, Kylorand, Leagues, Ashtrejinkins), POOBAH (Heat Wave, Mirror To Mirror, M. Gedded Gengras, Gabe Arsone), DUBLAB (frosty, Diego), LATIN DIVISION and H+R SOUNDSYSTEM (Chitlins, DeLaStair, Abcnt). To celebrate the final days of Townhouse Gallery we're having a Closing Party/Holiday Sale on Saturday December 17th from Noon until 6pm, with special giveaways, live screenprinting by H+R Crew, djs and more.
