Next Thursday, August 20th is the second installment of our "WHAT'S NEXT LA" series in Venice. We're hyped for the Los Angeles-debut of ZACKEY FORCE FUNK and CRIME from Tucson, AZ. We will be celebrating the release of our third mix cd "THIS IS MY FORCE FUNK SOUND" an hour-long immersion into the funky G-lectro world of Zackey, mixed by DJ KUTMAH. The night will also be the official launch party for PAPERWORKS LABORATORIES, local serigraph printers since 2005. They will be exhibiting limited-edition prints for sale by EL MAC, KOFIE, RETNA, CHAZ BOJORQUEZ, REVOK, ESTEVAN ORIOL, AUGOR, 2 CENTS, KNOW HOPE, GAIA, GEE VAUCHER and more! HIT+RUN will be screenprinting exclusive designs by EL MAC, KOFIE, RETNA, AUGOR, ANNIE MADISON & KUTMAH, for this one night only - don't sleep!!! dublab is celebrating 10 years of broadcasting future roots radio across the universe! To mark this awesome occasion, they will be partying it up for 10 consecutive days in October with dance parties, films screenings, rock shows, art events and more. Below is the full schedule, and the kick-off party is on 10.01 at the Continental Gallery (on corner of 4th & Spring in downtown LA) where dublab will be broadcasting live each day, as well as displaying their time capsule of awesome art with special showings of UP OUR SLEEVE, THE DREAM SCENE, INTO INFINITY and the new exhibit/art auction "VIBRANT VISIONS". We are reaching out to artists across the world to submit work for the VIBRANT VISIONS show...Please help dublab on its journey into the next 10 years and beyond by donating a piece of artwork for showing and sale. Brand new work is awesome but existing gems are great too. All work will be accepted and its not mandatory to be dublab-themed. They can also provide a tax-deductible donation acknowledgment letter for use in your taxes, and please send/deliver all artwork by September 1st to:
