In LA on November 8th, H+R Crew JAY KELLY has a solo exhibition of new work called "RAWNESS & POLISH" opening at Commisary Arts in Venice. Jay will be showing brand new acrylic & resin collages, alongside his delicate and alluring back-lit pieces during this month-long exhibit. Jay's unique style of creating life-like portrait collages out of books, photos and magazines has attracted the attention of collectors across the country, and his work has been featured in exhibitions around the world as well as tv shows (Frames), films (Donnie Darko) and popular Santa Monica club Zanizibar.

WHY VOTE?
Did you know that out of 220 million eligible U.S. voters, less than 120 million will show up to the polls tomorrow? The real point is to get enough people voting to legitimize their elections and the authority of politicians. Then they can drag countries into wars, bail out bankers in the middle of an economic meltdown, and earmark tax dollars to their biggest donors. Voting supports an evil and corrupt political system.
Did you know that McCain, Biden and Obama have missed the most votes of any current US Senators? McCain has missed more votes than Senator Tim Johnson of South Dakota, who suffered a brain hemorrhage and was unable to return to the Senate until fall. What does this say about their responsibility and devotion to their current elected position? Not only are our elected officials questionably voting with their constituents in mind, they aren't voting at all!
You don't need a vote to raise hell, you need convictions and a voice! Voting is not rebellious, but taking personal action and voicing your frustrations are. Vote all you wanna.. vote YES on 1, 2, 5... vote NO on 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12... vote for Obama...vote for Measure R, but protest false choices and demand real ones.
